We started as a small store in Frisco, Texas in 2003 when owners Keri and Stefan Gorman saw an opportunity to offer the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex a unique perspective on dancewear. Spotlight was envisioned as a place for dancers on the quest to find the perfect pointe shoe and for the most fashion forward collection of dance apparel and shoes. After a year in Frisco we knew that the tiny store we were in just would not do so we relocated to a more centralized location in Lewisville where we could better serve dancers from all over the metroplex. After all, we didn’t want anyone to miss out on the Spotlight Dancewear experience.  Word soon spread about our superior customer service, our exciting product selection and our pointe shoe knowledge and soon dancers from as far away as Austin, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Houston and San Antonio were making trips to shop in our store. Our customers love us so much that we soon ran out of room and in 2005 Spotlight doubled in size. We are proud to say that we are the largest single store offering dance shoes, accessories and apparel in Texas. And we're honored to hear our customers describe us as the Nordstroms of dance or the Neimans of pointe shoes (all at Target prices of course).
